Pensiunea Perla Brazilor

Bukovina, cradle of old civilization, where history combines with legend, is known from a tourist point of view especially for the famous churches with outdoor frescoes - UNESCO patrimony: Moldovita, Sucevita, Voronet, Humor. The monasteries of Putna, Neamt, and Dragomirna have a similar importance from an architectonic and historic point of view. All these architectural jewels fit perfectly into an exceptional landscape. The Rarau massif, the Suceava valley, the Moldova valley with its affluent, the Moldovita valley, the pass of Bistrita Aurie, the Secular Forests of Slatioara, these are only a few points of maximum tourist interest.

The folk architecture is absolutely unique and original. True wood embroideries are offered by the porches, doors and window frames, wells, gates and fences. To all these we add the exterior decorations with geometrical and floral motifs, improved and variously colored, especially in the villages on the valley of Bistrita Aurie, among which the most known is Ciocanesti.

The art of embroidery and sewing, the ornamentation of Easter eggs with splendid and symbolic geometrical miniatures, the manufacture of national costumes with bead embroideries and marten fur, all these are incontestable treasures of the folk art of Bukovina.

In Bukovina, the guests are welcomed open-heartedly, with a glass of plum brandy or wine, and the gastronomy is a tempting adventure. The polenta with fresh home-made sour cream and cheese will not miss from any boarding house, next to the smoked cheese, the smoked trout and the stuffed cabbage rolls which are other fine dishes specific to the region.
